A registered nurse at home from KIN HomeCare carries out nursing procedures in your home from 1,200 baht per visit, including wound care, nasogastric tube changes and urinary catheter changes. There is no need to lift a parent who has trouble getting up into a car for a hospital trip. The nurse assesses your parent before each procedure and shows the family how to continue care between visits. If tubes need changing on schedule, 3-change packages are available at a special price until 31 December 2026.

Feeding tubes and urinary catheters must be changed on the schedule set by the doctor. If someone at home has a tube in place, read more about urinary catheter care at home and tube feeding at home.

Why these tasks need a registered nurse

  • Inserting or changing a nasogastric tube and changing a urinary catheter are nursing procedures carried out by a registered nurse
  • Deep wounds, or wounds that need assessment by someone with specific skills, are handled by a registered nurse
  • The nurse assesses your parent before the procedure and teaches the family which warning signs to watch for between visits

Daily care tasks a caregiver can do

Tasks that hospitals teach families to continue at home, such as tube feeding, suctioning, tracheostomy care, insulin injections and care of minor, shallow wounds, can be done by a caregiver trained for that task, working under the supervision of the registered nurse team, at the same rate as a general caregiver: 1,800 baht a day for a 12-hour shift.
