Caregiver (NA) vs registered nurse (RN)
The dividing line is clinical procedures. Feeding-tube changes, suctioning, complex wound care and injections require a registered nurse; everything in daily living care is within a caregiver's scope.

Most families run a live-in caregiver as the base and book a registered nurse only on procedure days — continuous daily care plus clinical safety, at far less than a full-time nurse.

Rates follow the shift, not a single flat number. A 12-hour shift means the caregiver comes and goes; a 24-hour shift means one caregiver lives in. Daily bookings have a three-day minimum, and the average daily cost drops sharply on a monthly contract — a monthly 12-hour shift averages about THB 1,000 per day.

Should I choose a 12-hour or 24-hour shift?
Choose 12 hours if someone is already home overnight — the caregiver covers the day and leaves. Choose 24 hours for bedbound patients needing night repositioning, or where there is a risk of getting up and wandering at night.
Can we change caregiver if it is not a good fit?
Yes, at no extra cost — whether the personalities do not fit, the caregiver falls ill, or resigns. We source the replacement so the family does not restart the search.
Can the caregiver change a feeding tube or suction?
No — those are clinical procedures reserved for a registered nurse. Most families keep a live-in caregiver and book a nurse only on procedure days; per-visit procedures start at THB 1,200.

What is the difference between the two monthly options?
The standard option gives the caregiver one rest day a week, which the family covers. The continuous option sends a substitute so there is never a gap — the right choice when nobody at home can take over. The difference is THB 5,000–6,000 per month.
