Add a nurse or physiotherapist on top
Tasks that need a registered nurse — changing or inserting a feeding tube, changing a urinary catheter — can be covered on a per-visit basis, as can home physiotherapy. Suctioning, tracheostomy care, insulin injections and wound care can be done by a caregiver trained for them.

Caregiver (NA) vs registered nurse (RN)
The dividing line is the type of procedure. Changing or inserting a feeding tube, changing a urinary catheter and injections other than insulin require a registered nurse. Daily living care and tube feeding are within a caregiver's scope, and a caregiver trained for them can do suctioning, tracheostomy care, insulin injections and wound care — tell the team which tasks are needed when booking.

Most families run a live-in caregiver as the base and book a registered nurse only on procedure days — continuous daily care plus clinical safety, at far less than a full-time nurse.

Rates follow the shift, not a single flat number. A 12-hour shift means the caregiver comes and goes; a 24-hour shift means one caregiver lives in. Daily bookings have a three-day minimum, and the average daily cost drops sharply on a monthly contract — a monthly 12-hour shift averages about THB 1,000 per day.

How much does a home caregiver cost?
A 12-hour shift starts at THB 1,800 per day (three-day minimum) and a 24-hour shift is THB 2,500 per day. Weekly is THB 12,000 and 16,000 respectively; monthly runs THB 30,000–41,000 depending on the shift and whether rest days are covered. Caregiver meals and travel are included.
Should I choose a 12-hour or 24-hour shift?
12-hour shifts run 08:00–20:00 (day) or 20:00–08:00 (night) and suit homes where someone already covers the other half of the day. On a 24-hour shift, one caregiver stays all day and rests when your loved one rests, for example after 22:00. If someone must stay awake all night, choose two caregivers on 12-hour shifts alternating day and night.
Can we change the caregiver?
If the caregiver's work falls short of our standards or their behaviour is inappropriate, you can request one replacement free of charge. A change for personal preference alone is not available, which is why we share caregiver profiles before care starts. If a caregiver falls ill or resigns, our team arranges cover so the family does not restart the search.
Can the caregiver change a feeding tube or suction?
Changing a feeding tube needs a registered nurse. Suctioning can be done by a caregiver trained for it, as can tracheostomy care, insulin injections and wound care — tell the team which tasks are needed when booking and they will assign a caregiver trained for them. Tube or catheter changes can be booked with a nurse per visit; per-visit procedures start at THB 1,200.

What is the difference between the two monthly options?
The standard option gives the caregiver one rest day a week, which the family covers. The continuous option sends a substitute so there is never a gap — the right choice when nobody at home can take over. The difference is THB 5,000–6,000 per month.
